A little bit about us and how we got here!

Southbound Marketplace started as Southbound Mobile Boutique. In 2018, Southbound Mobile Boutique hit the streets. We popped up in towns and events across Western North Carolina for starters. In 2019, we started travelling to large festivals and events. We were out of state at events like Vintage Market Days of Charleston and Vintage Market Days of Mobile. And local events like Uncommon Markets of Asheville and Oskar Blues Burning Can.

We never intended to open a brick and mortar store, it was never in the plans. We love the world of craft shows and music festivals, but we missed our local customers!

With a busy, mostly out of state, travel schedule, we were hearing a lot from WNC customers that they couldn't find us locally and wished we would do more pop-ups at home. The timing was right and it came to our attention that a great little store was available in January of 2020 and things worked out and moved very quickly and we opened Southbound Marketplace on February 29th, 2020!

So now we have a store! And we wanted to do something a little different from a traditional women's boutique...and in the spirit of craft shows/festivals/events, we decided to mix in a little bit of everything! We have amazing women's boutique clothing, but we also have several local and handmade artists at the store!

We love our handmade artists and vendors and we love that we can provide you with different items you won't find anywhere else! We love that we can provide something different to customers and thankful to have a place our friends can setup and sell their unique handmade items!

When you travel and do festivals as much as we do, you become friends with the most amazing people and nothing makes me happier than having a place for my friends to display and sell their handmade items! I am humbled by Thierry support! I love that my friends are supporting my store and I love being able to support my friends!

We carry handmade jewelry, handmade soap, lotion, and sugar scrubs, girl's clothing from a local Asheville company, wall art, and decor. We have plans to keep adding our friends from craft fairs and continue to fill the store! Keep checking back with us as we add more and more handmade and antique vendors!

We would love to meet you! I We love chatting (I will personally talk your ear off if given the chance) and drinking a cup of coffee! We love people trying on jewelry and clothes and sampling the lotions and soaps! We love helping you pick out gifts for friends and family! We love to have fun with our customers and friends! We love helping people find great outfits and matching those with handmade jewelry! The amazing handmade items we have make great gifts, too!
